My Response to Adam Rifkins, Trailers From Hell review of HALLOWEEN:

One of the many things I love about HALLOWEEN is that it takes place in a simple Midwest town, with proverbial middle class families and their 2.5 kids. To me this was every town in America. To me this was MY town. Even as an 8 year-old, Michael Myers was the boy I'd have a crush on in school. The quiet, cute one with the whore older sister. Hah. Of course the babysitter massacre that follows accompanied by John Carpenters simple but chilling score... leaves us with an iconic film that is often imitated but never duplicated.
